Project Overview
BrevisRefero is building a collaborative outsourcing platform for the biopharma industry that will benefit both INNOVATOR and SERVICE PROVIDER alike by establishing an interactive environment for managing and responding to Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
During the time, me and another designer worked together redesign the Innovator and service provider parts. We applied the skill of heuristic evaluation to discover the existing problems and provided corresponding solutions. We then reimagine the experience for innovator and service provider and finally the new style guide for the website.
1. Discover
Creating the RFP (Request for Proposal) takes time, so as creating a proposal for RFP. for both service providers and innovators, the current procedure is too complicated, and it needs to be simplified and optimized to make innovators and service providers spend less time on making the documentation. Also there could be a better way to show a massive information in a proper format while there’s no a specific format for current pages
The Problem
The website is function-oriented, while designing the website should consider the aesthetic feature of UI. The UI design should help to improve the experience and make the page look not boring without affecting the functions.
The Challenge
Apply the skills of heuristic evaluation to evaluate the current website and discuss the existing problems. Think from users’ perspective and go through each page step by step to improve the experience. Create the style guide for user interface to make features and process look more intuitively.

Have a heuristic analysis run on them before a redesign begins can help to uncover the existing usability problems on the website. It helps to identify usability problems in the user interface (UI) design.

Before jumped into the wireframe design, I created the information architecture that specialized in Innovator and Service Providers these two parts. A powerful IA is a guarantee of a high-fidelity product since it reduces the possibility of usability and navigation problems.

Whenever Innovators look at RFP Proposals or Service providers view the RFPs, it always takes them a while. Using accordion can help them easily view and collapse information.
